I have a song-based approach to teaching acoustic guitar. My goal is to help you curate a repertoire of tunes you're interested in playing. We can focus on instrumental music or singer-songwriter accompaniment. Whether strumming chords or playing finger-style, we will learn each selection measure by measure. I will provide the necessary sheet music and guitar tabs for each arrangement we work on. And as you learn songs, I will also teach the music principles that make each song work. The end goal is repertoire and music "smarts". I teach all styles of acoustic guitar, but specialize in a finger-style approach. Our lessons take place in a studio located in Falls Church, VA.
